Angela Rae Thompson MSN, RN, FNP-C, CDE

Angi Thompson is an experienced endocrine and family nurse practitioner currently working for Hendricks Regional Health in Danville, IN. She received her Master’s Degree in Nursing with Family Nurse Practitioner focus from Ball State University. As a nurse practitioner, she provides clinical services to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. As an advanced practice nurse, she oversees all hospital diabetes education, policies, protocols, and practices to ensure the highest quality and evidence-based care is delivered.
Angi is a certified diabetes educator with board certification as a family nurse practitioner and in advanced diabetes management. She has served on the executive board for Beta Rho Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International since 2009, Coalition of Advanced Practice Nurses in Indiana since 2010, and Indiana Central Association of Diabetes Educators since 2007. She was just recently appointed to Associate Medical Director of the Diabetes Youth Foundation of Indiana in 2013.
Angi has many professional memberships including American Diabetes Association, American Association of Diabetes Educators, American Association of Nurse Practitioners, and Sigma Theta Tau International. Her awards include Treat People Better in 2003, Diabetes Educator of the Year in 2009, & Salute to Nurses Honorable Mention in 2010. Angi resides near Indianapolis Indiana with her husband, Scott, and three children, Ariana, Kristen, and Mason.
