Kathy Missildine PhD, RN, CNS

Dr. Kathy Missildine has been a medical-surgical nurse, in practice and in education for over 30 years. She has a master's degree in medical-surgical nursing and is accredited as a clinical nurse specialist in med-surg. Her doctorate dissertation subject was the role of sleep in the development of delirium in hospitalized elders. She has worked in hospital clinical practice, in staff development and higher education in associate's, baccalaureate, graduate and doctoral programs. Her population of interest is older adults, especially as it relates to geriatric syndromes, delirium and associated sleep fragmentation. She has presented and published on a variety of subjects related to elders.
