Kathleen B. Gaberson PhD, RN, CNOR, CNE, ANEF

Kathleen B. Gaberson, PhD, RN, CNOR, CNE, ANEF, has over 35 years of nursing education experience as a faculty member and administrator in diploma, associate degree, baccalaureate, master's, and doctoral programs, and now is owner and nursing education consultant for OWK Consulting. She has published numerous articles and book chapters and is the co-author of two nursing education textbooks. Dr. Gaberson previously served as research section editor of the AORN Journal and served three terms on the editorial board; she also has served on the editorial board of Nursing Forum. She earned a Core Curriculum Certificate in medical writing and editing from the American Medical Writers Association, was named a Sigma Theta Tau International Distinguished Writer for the 2000-2001 Biennium, and has served as a National League for Nursing Writers Retreat Mentor. She has presented numerous workshops on writing for publication and currently provides editorial consultation to doctoral nursing students at Robert Morris University in Pittsburgh, PA. She is certified in perioperative nursing and nursing education and is a Fellow of the Academy of Nursing Education.
