Ann Kelly is an assistant professor of Nursing in the School of Health and Human Services at National University. She is a Board certified psychiatric mental health clinical nurse specialist and has been a nurse for 4 decades. Ms. Kelly also works part time for the San Diego VA Healthcare system as a research nurse where she is involved in testing interventions for patient activation in heart failure care and mantram repetition for veterans with post traumatic stress disorder. Ms. Kelly has interest in many topics pertaining to health and well being, among these are: prevention of workplace violence, stress management, patient and student education, contemplative practices as interventions and pain management. Ann was the co-chair for the American Psychiatric Nurses Association Task Force on work place violence.
