Jean Watson, known around the world for her work in Caring theory, Caring Science and development of professional practice models of Caring in education, clinical care, research and administration She holds the only Endowed Chair in Caring Science in USA and is the recipient of 8 Honorary Doctorate Degrees, 5 of which are international Doctorates: UK, Sweden, Spain, Montreal, Quebec, British Colombia. Author of over 14 books on caring and over 100 publications, she is considered a international expert scholar and visionary in this field. She holds the title of Distinguished Professor at the University of Colorado, the highest academic honor for a professor in the university.Most recently, she founded the new non-profit foundation: Watson Caring Science Institute to further the work of caring science in the world.
