Nurses can make a significant impact on outcomes for their patients with COPD when they provide focused interventions promoting self-management. An essential element of COPD management includes inhaled medications, and it is important for nurses to have an understanding not only of the medications, but also of the delivery devices.
Learning Outcome: After completing this learning activity, the participant will be able to describe the evidence-based management of the patient with COPD to improve outcomes.
