Our nation is aging dramatically as we witness increases in life expectancy and aging of the 78-million-member baby boom generation. This demographic shift is having profound effects on nursing and health care. Understanding challenges and opportunities of aging and factors that may enable a healthy and productive life is critical.

Learning Outcome:
After completing this learning activity, the participant will be able to identify opportunities and ameliorate challenges in caring for older adults in hospital and long-term care environments.
