LGBTQIA+ in Nursing

‐ Nov 22, 2021 1:00pm

Credits: None available.

According to McNiel & Elertson (2018), the pre-licensure curriculum across the country severely lacks content related to the individualized needs of the LGBTQIA+. population. This gap impacts nurses in current practice. This roundtable discussion will help practicing nurses learn more about the LGBTQIA+ population including disparities and will provide viewers with evidence-based methods to enhance the patient-client relationship to bring awareness and promote health equity.
