Are you studying for the Certified Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (CMSRN®) certification exam? Do you need a review of total body systems? If so, this course is designed for you! It includes:
• A brief review of the function of each body system
• Fluids and electrolytes
• Common pathological conditions and treatments
• Appropriate nursing interventions
For those taking the exam, there is a short section on testtaking tips and a review of the CMSRN exam blueprint. There are also several exam-style questions at the end of each section to help you practice evaluating multiple-choice questions. This course is also ideal for nurses who are:
• New to the specialty
• Transitioning from another practice area
• Seeking to refresh their medical-surgical nursing knowledge

Learning Objectives:
Describe the techniques for preparing a Medical-Surgical Certification exam.Relate the pathophysiology basics of various disease states to the nursing assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation necessary.Identify outcome criteria and evaluative criteria used by nurses to determine effectiveness of nursing care of various Medical-Surgical patients.
