This presentation focuses on treating altered thyroid and altered adrenal function. The session also provides an overview of normal endocrine function, emphasizing the hypothalamic-pituitary-thyroid axis and the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis. We examine the usual etiologies of hypo/hyper thyroid and hypo/hyper adrenal function, diagnostic studies, and pharmacotherapeutics.
