This session describes the development of a multidisciplinary team approach to address the "batching" influx of admissions from the emergency department (ED) and the related dissatisfaction felt by medical-surgical nurses, and shares lessons and strategies to help other organizations enhance ED throughput, staff and patient satisfaction, and patient safety.
