Using serum laboratory values to provide care and maintain patient safety can be a difficult task to learn and apply for some nurses. This webinar helps with untangling the web we so often get caught up in, while reviewing lab values ordered by the health care provider based on specific needs and requirements for specific diagnoses. Understanding lab results also helps with educating the client when laboratory testing is needed for ongoing treatment. The types of treatment may be chemical or physical and the only way to diagnose and treat often includes serum labs.

At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will be able to identify common serum lab values in relationship to specific diseases or illnesses.
