The purpose of this webinar is to educate medical-surgical nurses on the critical shortages of blood supply, contemporary methods of keeping the blood supply safe, and ongoing bans that discriminate against specific populations of people. This webinar will also offer methods in which medical-surgical nurses practicing today can advocate to improve the blood supply in the United States.

Learning Outcome
At the conclusion of this activity, the learner will be able to describe the various ways nurses can advocate to end discrimination against gay men related to blood donation.
