Description

Psychosocial Dimensions of Prostate Cancer in Black Men

Presented By: Hiboombe Haamankuli, DNP, CRNP, ACNP-BC

This webinar is presented in partnership with The American Association for Men in Nursing (AAMN).
One in six Black men in the U.S. will develop prostate cancer. Additionally, the mortality rate among BM is twice that of White men. Prostate cancer screening rates remain low among BM. The purpose of this webinar is to highlight psychosocial barriers and facilitators associated with prostate cancer screening among Black men. Understanding the barriers and facilitators equips clinicians to deliver culturally relevant education and interventions that improve screening and outcomes in this group of men.
