Description

AI in Action: Risks, Responsibilities, and Practical Uses for Healthcare Professionals

Presented By: Laura Irvin, MHL, BSN, RN

This presentation will explore the transformative role of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare. As AI systems increasingly assist in clinical decision-making, bedside practice, education, and patient monitoring, nurses in all fields are at the forefront. We will discuss the limitations and risks associated with AI, the rights and responsibilities of healthcare professionals as users of AI, and demonstrate some AI capabilities. By understanding AI's capabilities and constraints, nurses can advocate for appropriate use of AI in their practice setting and uphold the integrity of care in an increasingly digital environment.
