Description
A disability is a functional impairment that causes a person to have a limited ability or lack of ability to perform activities in the same way that is considered typical for most people. With the increase in societal acceptance and legal protection for people with disabilities, as well as an aging population, more individuals in the healthcare workforce and patient population have an identified disability. In this module, you will learn about the growing number of people with disabilities and how to identify opportunities for advocating and improving their care and professional experiences.
