Description

Having a better understanding of all the various identities makes it easier to see how each person’s combination of identity characteristics makes them unique. Sexual orientation is an identity that refers to romantic or sexual attraction. Sexual orientation looks different to many different people. This module helps learners understand sexual orientation by introducing the history, terminology, and facts surrounding sexual orientation and barriers to healthcare affecting this group of people. This module also helps providers in the healthcare environment create a safe space for patients and colleagues, regardless of their sexual orientation.
