Description
Building Trust and Respect Amongst Nurses and Physicians
Presented by: Mary Adame, MBA, MHA, BSN, RN and January Baclig, MSN, RN
Nursing-physician relationships contribute greatly to workplace morale, engagement, and nurse burnout. Physicians are often unaware of nursing workflows and vice versa. Teamwork and professional communication improve patient safety outcomes. Daily interactions between nurses and physicians strongly influence nursing morale. Different perspectives on responsibility, minimizing barriers to progress, and considering possible solutions set the stage for a thriving nurse-physician work culture which influences nursing recruitment and retention. This webinar provides the opportunity to hear first-hand testimonials from two nurse leaders whose organizations implemented a collaborative environment to strengthen both trust and respect between physicians and nurses.
