Description

The Behavioral Health Program was designed in response to the evolving needs of medical-surgical nurses and the patients they serve.  Throughout this course, you will gain the skills and knowledge you need to provide next-level care to patients undergoing a behavioral health crisis in the medical-surgical setting and do so while offering them compassion and dignity.

The course consists of 5 self-paced online modules – Suicide, Substance-Related and Addictive Disorders, Complex Behaviors, Personality Disorders, and De-escalation of Situations.

Academy of Medical-Surgical Nurses is accredited as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
