Pharmacogenomics: Transforming Patient Care

By tailoring medical treatment to an individual, pharmacogenomics has strong potential to improve patient outcomes. Nurses play a critical role in pharmacogenomics’ research, therapeutics, and clinical care for patients. This webinar explores the basics of pharmacogenomics, implications of pharmacogenomics testing, current use of pharmacogenomics therapeutics, and its utilization in clinical practice.
Target Audience: All nurses engaged in clinical practice and pharmacotherapeutics.
Outcome: 65% of participants who complete the evaluation will identify one new piece of knowledge related to pharmacogenomics and how this new knowledge impacts the care they deliver to patients.
