Description

Opioid-induced respiratory depression (OIRD) can rapidly lead to full-blown respiratory failure. This session explores why capnography is a valuable assessment tool to determine the cause and severity of a patients respiratory distress and guide decisions on and use of treatment options. It delineates steps for creating a multidisciplinary EBP initiative in a multi-hospital system.
