Hypertension-related emergency department visits are an issue of increasing significance and are recognized as contributing to the overall number of visits in emergency departments. This session discusses a study done to identify the burden of hypertension-related emergency department visits and identify characteristics of patients who receive a hypertension-related primary or secondary diagnosis.
