Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator, UPMC Trauma Services

Amy Clontz is the Trauma Performance Improvement Coordinator at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center - Presbyterian/Shadyside campus, which is a Level 1 accredited Trauma Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She has worked for the past 30 years in a variety of roles within the area of trauma care including, bedside med-surg nursing, nurse educator, nurse manager, and program nurse specialist.  Amy is published in peer review journals in the areas of traumatic amputation, post traumatic stress disorder, focused ultrasound in trauma, and the use of rapid response systems for patient instability.  She is an instructor for the Trauma Certified Registered Nurse course and Stop the Bleed Initiative. She is an active member of the Society of Trauma Nurses, as well as the Western Pennsylvania AMSN Chapter 111 since 2005, and has held positions of Treasurer and Newsletter Editor.
