Dr. Angelica Ahonen manages the Pre-Post Operative Department at the University of California - Irvine, in Orange, California. She was first introduced to the nursing profession when she served as a Medic in the Canadian Army. Shortly after moving to the United States as a travel Nurse, Dr. Ahonen began her work with the Universtiy of California - Irvine as a Supervisor of Urology. She then managed the Medical Telemetry Department. Her PhD research in Digital Reporting was applied across the board at UCI and it successfully proved her theory that the implementation of Digital Technologies could improve nursing and patient satisfaction, clinical accuracy, and overall operational effectiveness of the institution. Dr. Ahonen brings with her a fresh and modern approach to Nursing Practice through the use of new technologies. She also brings with her a traditional philosophy of Patient Care and Satisfaction.
