Laila Moosa DNP, MSN, RN, PHN, CMSRN

Dr. Laila Moosa is a professor at Santa Monica College. She has been a medical-surgical nurse for over 18 years and recently earned her doctor of nursing practice degree. She is a Daisy award winner for providing compassionate patient-centered care to a diverse patient population. She is a member of the evidence-based council and unit-based council at her organization. She has closely worked with diverse medical-surgical patients and interdisciplinary teams to provide inclusive, equitable, and coordinated care to initiate a timely discharge. In addition, she is a certified medical-surgical registered nurse (CMSRN) and teaches medical-surgical nursing, where she shares her passion with students to do the sick no harm. Her goal is to prepare a new generation of nurses to be responsible global lifelong learners with knowledge, skills, and practice to handle today's health care challenges.
