Dr. Cynthia Steinwedel has been a nurse educator and clinician since 1986 with 18 years of critical care and medical-surgical experience. She has worked on disaster response since 2013, when an EF 4 tornado hit near her hometown. She currently serves as a faculty member in nursing at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois, and volunteers as a regional coordinator for a FEMA-approved, faith-based disaster response organization. Her region of responsibility covers 51 counties, and her trained volunteers number over 900.
