Dr. Cynthia Rothenberger is an assistant professor of nursing at Alvernia University in Reading, Pennsylvania. She has been a Registered Nurse for over 30 years, holding a variety of positions as a clinician, clinical nurse specialist, and educator in medical-surgical and maternal-child settings. Cynthia served as chair of the AMSN Clinical Practice Committee. Her areas of interest include medical-surgical nursing, maternal-child nursing, diabetes education, cardiovascular health promotion/disease prevention. She holds a BS degree in nursing from Albright College, an MSN degree in adult health and illness from the University of Pennsylvania, and a DNP degree in educational leadership from Case Western Reserve University. She is certified as a medical-surgical clinical nurse specialist and a diabetes educator.
