Shannon Allean Rives MSN, RN, ACNS-BC, CCRN

Shannon Rives has been a registered nurse for the past ten years. She has cared for patients in both medical/surgical and critical care settings. Since 2013, Shannon has been serving as a Clinical Nurse Specialist at Cleveland Clinic covering the inpatient gastroenterology, hepatology, and abdominal transplant units. Notably, during her time she has helped to create an educational class for patients and families about hepatic encephalopathy geared toward reducing readmissions, and she has traveled to Thailand and Portugal lecturing to nurses stationed abroad on liver disease and treatment. She is also very excited to have been a part of the nursing team that cared for the first uterine transplant patient in the United States.
