Mary Grindel entered the long-term acute care hospital field in 2007 as the Director of Clinical Services at Regency Hospital in Greenville, South Carolina. In 2010, she moved to Florida into her present position as the Chief Clinical Officer for Kindred Hospital Central Tampa. As the role of long-term acute care hospital (LTAC) expands in transitioning patients from short-term acute care, Mary's goal is to educate the medical-surgical nurse on what transitional care hospitals are and what their role can be in the discharge of their patients.
