Julie Welsh is a Clinical Nursing Instructor at Elmhurst College in Illinois. She has been a nurse for 36 years with most of her career as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in specialty surgery, rehabilitation, general medicine, GI/Liver, and oncology for the University of Illinois Hospital Health Sciences System in Chicago. Julie has also been adjunct faculty for University of Illinois College of Nursing and has been the preceptor for DNP and MSN students.
Julie's nursing background includes being a staff nurse, assistant head nurse, manager, nurse educator, nurse recruiter, and bariatric coordinator.
She has published in nursing journals and has presented locally and nationally.
