Ellen has been a nurse for almost 40 years. The majority of her work experience has been in medical-surgical and/or critical care nursing. Her love was medical. She practiced for years at the bedside and then was a clinical manager of 86 medical beds for 8 years before moving to the Quality Improvement Department. Ellen started the Greater Atlanta Chapter of AMSN back in the 1990's and served on the national AMSN board for 2 terms. Currently Ellen is the Director of Accreditation and Patient Safety at a 5-hospital system in Georgia. She has her CPHQ, CJCP, and CPPS certifications.
