Dr. Beth Quatrara is a clinical nurse specialist with 17 years of experience caring for patients with digestive health conditions. Her passion for quality care and the integration of evidence-based practice are at the heart of her practice and scholarship. She currently serves as the director of the DNP program at the University of Virginia School of Nursing, where she leverages her expertise to guide students in their scholarly practice projects that emphasize the integration of scientific evidence into practice to improve outcomes. She previously served as the AMSN representative to the Alliance to Advance Patient Nutrition. She currently serves as the AMSN nutrition representative, contributing to the AMSN core curriculum and the collaborative effort of multiple professional organizations to publish adult enteral feeding tube standards. Dr. Quatrara publishes and presents nationally on topics of nutritional care, interprofessional collaboration, outcomes management, and evidence-based practice.
