Elicia Egozcue-Ochoa is a clinical learning educator for Baptist Health South Florida. She obtained her master of science degree in nursing in 2015 from the University of Cincinnati and is certified in neuroscience, stroke, cardiac-vascular nursing, nursing professional development, and advanced practice nursing. She has been an educator in these specialties and serves as subject matter expert and faculty for emergency care, critical care, and multispecialty residencies within her healthcare system. Her passion is advocating for patients and improving outcomes through evidence-based practice and research. She develops educational programs to meet the needs of stakeholders system-wide and supports Doctor’s Hospital with nursing professional development initiatives including certification and mentorship programs. Elicia serves as a consultant on performance improvement as well as evidence-based projects. Her goal is to mentor nurse educators and elevate practice by seeking out opportunities to conduct research.
