Alyssa Ball MSN Ed, RN

Nursing Educator, Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center

Alyssa Ball has been in nursing for the past 17 years, both in academic and hospital settings. In the clinical setting, she has experience in medical-surgical and progressive care nursing with a variety of patient populations. This has been in using simulation, standardized patient creation, enhanced task training methods, and most importantly, debriefing tactics to allow for effective experiential learning. While in nursing education, these activities help to bridge the gap of academic training as it is applied to the clinical environment. She has used many different tactics in skill and concept training with new nursing staff to a large academic medical center and seek to enhance the experience of this nursing population.
