Kathy Watts is the sepsis clinical coordinator for The Joint Commission disease-specific certified program at the JPS Health Network Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. Ms. Watts received her diploma in nursing in 1980 and her master of science degree in nursing leadership and management in 2021. She is a member of the Sepsis Alliance and participated in a national roundtable discussion about sepsis performance improvement in January 2022. In addition to being a guest lecturer about sepsis at the Pacific Northwest Sepsis Conference in Seattle and the Tarrant County Hospital District Grand Rounds, Ms. Watts has served as the chair of the DFW Hospital Council Sepsis Strike Force.
