Caroline Ashman MSN, RN, CMSRN, NPD-BC

Caroline Ashman began her nursing career in Great Britain in the 1980s. She has lived in the US and practiced in many roles including management and education. She gained her Master's in Nursing Education from Brenau University in Gainsville, GA.  Caroline is currently the West Florida Division Director for Medical Surgical Education for HCA based out of Tampa, FL. She is responsible for developing a comprehensive clinical education program, improving patient care processes and outcomes by supporting the development of a competent clinical team in the medical surgical arena. Prior to this position, she was the Director of Education for the Eastside Medical Center in Snellville, GA.  She is a frequent presenter of the AMSN Certification Review Course On-the-Road, presenting the course in the U.S. and worldwide for nurses preparing for the certification exam. Caroline has gained a wealth of insight into the benefits of certification and during graduate school conducted research to find out if certification improves confidence and competence.
