Strategic Nursing Advisor, ATI/Ascend Learning

Dr. Beth Phillips is the strategic nursing advisor for ATI/Ascend Learning and associate professor emeritus at Duke University School of Nursing. Prior to joining ATI, she directed Duke's Institute for Educational Excellence. Dr. Phillips earned her ADN from Waukesha Technical Community College (Wi), her BSN degree from East Carolina University, her MSN degree from Duke University, and her PhD in nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Before joining Duke, she served as director of nursing at Vance-Granville Community College. She also has extensive experience in surgical trauma ICU and medical-surgical nursing, including staff nursing and administration. Dr. Phillips is a member of the National League of Nursing and Sigma Theta Tau International. She is also the chair of the International Society for Professional Identity in Nursing.
