Dr. Katilya Ware is an assistant professor at Auburn University School of Nursing. She began her career as a registered nurse in the emergency department. Her experience in this setting and her educational preparation in community health nursing guided her in developing a research interest in hypertension. She holds an associate's degree in nursing from Southern Union State Community College, a bachelor of science degree in nursing from Jacksonville State University, an MSN degree with a concentration in community health and nursing education from Jacksonville State University, and PhD degree from the University of Alabama.
