Specialty Leader for Nurse Corps Medical-Surgical Nurses, United States Navy

Tuesday Adams has been practicing nursing for 15 years and is board certified in both medical-surgical and executive nursing. She started in nursing as a CNA, an LVN, a BSN, and an advanced practice nurse as an adult health clinical nurse specialist. She is an active-duty Navy nurse corps officer, where she has had a variety of clinical experience primarily in medical-surgical nursing. Currently, she is the clinical operations officer for nursing at the only federal health care center in the nation. She began working with AMSN volunteer units on the clinical practice committee, a reviewer for the core curriculum, and as a member of the PRISM award review committee. In the Navy, she is the specialty leader for the nurse corps medical-surgical nurses, an active member of clinical nurse specialist advisory board, and qualified as a master training specialist. Tuesday has focused on wound care, education, and professional development in the nursing profession, patient flow, and nursing standards and policy.
