Description

This session discusses the experience of medical-surgical nurses providing end-of-life (EOL) care. Focus includes the difference between hospice and palliative care, “death with dignity” and strategies to promote a good death, and common medications used at end of life and how to evaluate when treatment has been effective.

Learning Outcome:
After completing this learning activity, the participant will be able to discuss the differences between palliative care and hospice.
