Description

This session describes a quality improvement project developed by medical-surgical nurses to address the adverse effects of sleeping medications given to their geriatric patients and the options for non-pharmacological sleep interventions in this population. Findings of the project and lessons learned to improve clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction are also shared.
