This session describes the development process of AMSN’s comprehensive competency model for medical-surgical registered nurses. These competencies are leveled across the career progression of the medical-surgical nurse and are measurable, tied to organizational outcomes, and can be used within medical-surgical practice by nurses, managers, and organizations.
